GMA7’s not-so-good show “Boys Nxt Door” is currently airing in South Korea. Though I really don’t like the show, I feel proud for them. It is the first time in the Philippine history that a Filipino TV series enters a Korean channel. ^^ Anyway, the show is being aired with English subtitles and was renamed “
나의 형제들” or translated as “My Brother”. The show is also currently airing in Malaysia.

Big Bang reports back to the J-pop scene with their follow-up to For The World. The latest J-pop release from the five-member Korean hip-hop and R&B group has been titled With U and gives the band members the latest opportunity to prove their English performing skills. Among this time’s songs are Last Farewell, Mad About You, and We Belong Together, and Big Bang’s new hit With U. To the joy of their Japanese fans, the Japanese version of My Girl has also been included on this release. (YesAsia)

Olympic Art Contest won by a Filipino May 29, 2008

A stainless-steel work by Filipino sculptor Joe Datuin won the prestigious international Sport and Art Contest in connection with the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Datuin’s “Dancing Rings” reinterprets the traditional Olympic logo into a flight of the athletic spirit. The art piece recasts the conventionally horizontal Olympic logo into a vertical leap of faith, much like a gymnast or a classical dancer in action, to signify both human grace and human solidarity.
