Starting up my DLSU days… May 11, 2008
Posted by Chris in : Life Experiences, The University Life , trackback
Last week, I’ve spent most of my time in my new school, DLSU! I’ve spent four days going back and forth just to do all necessary things for enrollment. And so now, I am officially called a Froshie… (a Lasallian term for freshman) ^^ Only this school, uses this term for freshmen.
Anyway, let me share with you my experiences…
PART 1: The Enrollment ^^
Let’s start from the enrollment day, May 5, 2008 for CCS students. CCS or College of Computer Studies is the college where all students taking up computer courses belong. Since I’m taking up BS Computer Science, I am one of those CCS froshies :).
The scheduled time for our enrollment was from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. We left our house at almost 8:30 and we arrived there at almost 10:00 am. The traffic was really heavy! We really planned to take up an FX but ended up riding in a cab. The first thing we did was to ask where should we go for freshmen enrollment. Luckily we were able to find the right place. Next was to find my section in the list of name posted on the bulletin board. As I find my name, I was also looking for Korean names hoping I have them as my classmates. Unfortunately, there was none or its just that I wasn’t able to find one!
Anyway, we continued with the enrollment process. The process was definitely fast and easy so I was able to pay my fees and go home approximately only after 45 minutes or less. We went home directly since I have to go visit my doctor that day ^^.
Directly after going home or even while I was in the car (we took a taxi), I was looking at my schedule. I was happy when I saw that I have no classes on fridays but I was disappointed when I found out I have to go home at 6:30 PM every monday and thursday and 4:30 PM every wednesday! And another thing is I have to go to school every moring at 8:00 AM!!! Ughh!!!
Poor schedule… What can I do?,, I’m still a froshie…
Until now, I’m still worrying on how to make my life easier… I still have to wake up very early in the morning (like how I did during Highschool) and come home at night… (I should be by home maybe 7 or 8 PM due to my schedule) Poor me!
Before graduation, I was happy that I’ll become a college student and that I shouldn’t wake up early anymore, but now…
But I’m still hoping and expecting to have livelier and happier days in my Lasallian family on my first semester.
