Sony NWZ-S738F Walkman
by admin on Mar.29, 2009, under Eletronics
The Sony S-Series Walkman has a sharp and brilliant design as well as a high-quality feel; it offers a variety of cool extras such as an FM tuner, a smart play-list, and integrated noise-canceling. Every one will fall in love with its bright and crisp display, and the interface is pretty easy to navigate and DIY. The player sounds great right out of the box and features several sound-enhancement options, not to mention the superb battery life
It serves as a digital player and a radio. Flash memory is installed in the device which has a capacity of 8 GB. The digital audio standards it supports are WMA, WAV, MP3, unprotected AAC files for music. Moreover, JPEG photos, MPEG 4 and M4V video are all available. You can even run a slide show of all the JPEG photos.
Some tiny foibles that won’t stain the whole piece are: the S-Series Walkman maxes out at 8GB and doesn’t include memory expansion. Not all users can be comfortable with the packaged earplugs, which are necessary for the noise-prevention feature. Besides, there’s no voice recording option.
All in all, thanks to excellent sound quality and scores of smart music sorting options, the Sony S-Series Walkman is a valuable choice for music fans.
Great, Solid Performing Laptop

As a former Mac user, I was reluctant to use any Windows PC. However, my company provided me with an IBM and I could tell it was a product of high quality. I even purchased a T30, and then two T40s for our family’s use at home. They have been easy to upgrade, maintain and repair when needed. No problems out of any of them. They are quick enough and fast enough even if there are a variety of programs all running at the same time. Surfing the Internet is a nice way to kill time and the wireless capability allows us to surf anywhere in the house, or even to take the laptops on the road when we travel. I use my personal T40 as a back up to my work laptop which is a little bit cheaper design by Lenovo-IBM, it’s called T60. A friend of mine who retired from IBM told me they were now made from cheaper materials, and he was right. My T-60 is going in for repairs while my older T40 keeps on performing like a powerful tank. Co-workers are asking me to help them locate and purchase IBM T40s because they see how useful mine is and how it just keeps on going and going. I am now ready to try a T42 just for a little faster speed and a slightly larger hard drive, but I am sure the quality will be every bit as good as my T40. I strongly recommend IBM T40 as an all-time favorite laptop. If my laptop were to be stolen tomorrow, I would replace it with another T40 series laptop again. DEFINITELY!
Ipod Needs Taking Care
by admin on Mar.14, 2009, under Eletronics
Just as every coin has two sides, every iPod has two sides.
The Angel side: It’s efficient, easy to control and sleek, sharp and stylish.
The Demon side:
Its delicate size and distinctive white earplugs both make it an easily stolen item. It’s so light that you probably wouldn’t notice it’s gone. The low battery life as well can be extremely annoying.
The Angel and Demon makes an iPod:
Nowadays, iPod has become a household name for fashion and evolution. In the time before the new era, we used to be accompanied only by CD and Tape Walkmans. If we wanted a change, we would have to carry along a backpack full of them whenever we go. Now, however, we only need to bring along a tiny little iPod that can hold 400 CD’s/Tapes worth (about 6000) of songs.
It’s relatively cheap, and its versatility is amazing. We can watch videos and movies, browse pictures, and enjoy our songs. We can also keep brief memos in the Notes, and the calendar has all our important dates on (after all, I used it to remind myself of my dad’s present last year), as well as list our contacts.
It serves as my external Hard Drive, an MP3, a portable Movie Player, and a mini PSP – after all, Parachute and Music Quiz is addictive!
One thing to pay attention to: the low-battery life is unbearable. After all, watching 3 films back-to-back was quite annoying when it got to the final part of Lord of the Rings on a Long-haul flight, when the battery’s gone. Be careful! The Angel could turn into Demon easily sometimes.
Problems About IdeaPad S10
by admin on Mar.10, 2009, under Computer and Laptop
I’ve had a S10 for a week or two and am having a problem with the wired networking.
Sometimes the wired interface just stops working and I have to reload the module to get it back. This can be a nightmare.
I have searched the online forums and found people were having the same problem.
I tried applying the driver fix to the Linux driver but it didn’t seem to help.
In addition, while the keyboard of S10 is indeed small, the feel when touching it, is nearly perfect, in fact I am writing my fiction book on my S10 because I can type faster on it, with less tiring than I have with my Thinkpad T61P.
Nevertheless, there are two complaints I have about the S10, the cord unplug sound is extremely loud, and the fan speed points could be better in the BIOS. Other than these two annoying problems, everything else is working smoothly. After a week of nearly constant use, I really fall in love with the S10. In fact, when I toss a 200GB hard drive in it, it might become my main computer, because it’s so portable. I may get a 6-battery, but at the same time, I’m not sure I want to carry it to the coffee shop every day.
